Alan Sierra (Sonora, Mexico. 1990) is an artist and writer who frequently works as a curator, editor and educator. His body of work is made up from text, drawing, sculpture and performance that could be read as writing. He participated in SOMA’s Educational Program in Mexico City and completed MA in Fine Arts studies at Institute Art Gender Nature in Basel, Switzerland. Nonverbal, his first book of drawings, was published by Gato Negro in 2019. Some of his recent exhibitions include the solo show Vísperas at La Capella, Barcelona (2022), and the group shows Who Tells a Tale Adds a Tale (2021) at the Denver Art Museum, U.S. and Omissísimo at Galeria Cavalo, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil (2020).
